Sophia Treanor is a practicing Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, movement teacher, and performing artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Sophia completed the Biodynamic Craniosacral Training with Body Intelligence in 2018 and is delighted to be working with Body Intelligence as a classroom assistant. Sophia’s appreciation of the biodynamic perspective was ignited by a lecture-demo given by Ged Sumner, a life-changing session from Heidi Lauber, and Sophia’s own mother and Senior Tutor Dr. Marianne D’Amore. Sophia is the director of the emerging Six Viewpoints Institute and Mary Overlie Legacy Project. She teaches embodiment practices, movement, Six Viewpoints and Jean Hamilton Floor Barre internationally and is on faculty at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. In each area of study, Sophia is driven by the wonder of the infinite exchange between environment, perception and consciousness. Her practice centers around discovering a sense of possibility through reconnection with body and land.
