Sarah Hovey

Sarah Hovey is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist in Victoria, B.C. She attended the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver, graduating in 1986 and is licensed as a Registered Massage Therapist in B.C. She has been studying and practicing Craniosacral Therapy since 1990 and teaching Craniosacral Therapy since 2001. She first started studying the Biodynamic approach in 2005 with Howard Jones in Vancouver, B.C. and took further training with Michael Shea also in Vancouver. She did her Foundation training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with John Chitty through the Colorado School of Energy Studies, in Austin, TX, graduating in 2010. An ardent student of anatomy and the mysteries of the natural world, Sarah finds herself endlessly fascinated by how the whole person is expressed through their body. The incredibly complex interweaving of physical structure, life experiences from conception to the present moment and our responses to those experiences, form the tapestry of this engaging work. She is delighted to be a part of the Body Intelligence Tutor Team, guiding students through the exploration of this healing art.

Richard Ferguson

Richard is a Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapist and a Natural Therapeutic Specialist. He completed Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy training with Body Intelligence teachers: Ged Sumner, Steve Haines, and Sheila Kean. Richard attended and graduated from the wholistic-oriented program at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. This foundation education included studies in polarity therapy, cranial sacral therapy, core synchronism, shiatsu (acupressure), reflexology, herbology, relaxation and therapeutic massage, as well as body-mind counseling techniques. Richard holds advanced certification for Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy, and applied kinesiology. Richard practiced as a registered massage therapist for a number of years before specializing in Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy. Richard’s clinical focus and ongoing study is the impact and treatment of trauma. He is especially interested in the trauma treatment models developed Peter Levine and Eugene Gendlin. He applies these models to his integrated body therapy practice called the Missing Piece Body Therapies in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.

Heidi Lauber

Heidi Lauber has been practicing manual therapy as a licensed massage therapist for over 13 years. She has been especially interested in the fasciae from the time she studied at the West Coast college in Vancouver and has specialized her manual skills, knowledge and teaching capacities to this end. Her love for the fasciae drew her more deeply into a relationship with the intelligence of the human organism which she is perpetually amazed by. This led her to study craniosacral therapy with the Upledger Institute a decade ago. She continues to deepen her understanding of this work by studying biodynamic therapy with Dr. Michael Shea as well as with Body Intelligence Training. Heidi is licensed in British Columbia but lives and practices in Calgary, Alberta where she, her husband and their dog play in the mountains and the snow.
