Body Intelligence Training offers a 2 year practitioner course in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in Vancouver for existing health professionals considering adding a new modality to their work as well as individuals wanting to start a career in an exciting and evolving therapy. The course is designed so participants can attend the first seminar without committing to the full course. This seminar is an introduction into basic contact skills and relating to biodynamic movements and will provide an opportunity to experience the approach and appreciate the extent of the curriculum.

Fees
For the whole training sem 1 through sem 9 the fee is C$9,000. The training is non-residential. The fee for seminar 1 is C$1,000. The fee for the optional seminar 10 is C$800.
Payment
The training offers three ways of paying. For payment of the full course fee up front there’s a discounted fee of C$8,550. Or there are two payment plans offered.
Payment Plan
Deposit of C$1000(non refundable) is required upon acceptance. (the deposit
is the fee for the first seminar). Remainder to be paid according to the following
payment options:
Payment Option 1- 3 x Instalments
First Instalment C$2666 due immediately after seminar 1
Second Instalment C$2666 due 5 months after 1st instalment
Third Instalment C$2666 due 5 months after 2nd instalment
Full amount comes to C$9,000 with the deposit.
Payment Option 2- 18 x Monthly Instalments
18 monthly instalments of C$467 (includes 5% administration fee). First instalment
is due immediately after the first seminar.
Entry into a payment plan is deemed to be a commitment to paying the whole course fee.
Intros
The Intro Talk is designed to provide a taste of this exciting and evolving body therapy science. You will explore through self experiential exercises and contact sessions the nature of Health and how to feel the expressions of Health as subtle biodynamic motions in the body. We will discuss trauma and how its effects are safely resolved with BCST. You will have a chance to meet some of the course tutors and discuss the course structure and material.Intro day scheduled for:

Tutors
Ged Sumner

Ged Sumner is a practicing Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist and Chi Kung Teacher. He has also studied shiatsu, healing and attachment based psychoanalytical psychotherapy. He has taught Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy as a senior tutor for the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust’s (CTET) practitioner trainings in London and as a senior tutor for Resonance Trainings courses in Australia and New Zealand. He set up the Fountain Clinic in London, a busy specialized craniosacral therapy clinic. He set up and coordinated the Living Anatomy course for CTET offering an holistic view of the body’s anatomy and physiology. He is a director of the Healthy Living Centre, a multi-disciplinary alternative therapy practice in London. He also set up and directed the College of Elemental Chi Kung offering Chi Kung classes, workshops, retreats and a Chi Kung Teacher Training program in Europe, North America and Australasia. He is the author of 'Body Intelligence – Creating a New Environment' and co-author of 'Cranial Intelligence - A Practical Guide to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy'. He has a degree in Chemistry.
Sarah Hovey

Sarah Hovey is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist in Victoria, B.C. She attended the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver, graduating in 1986 and is licensed as a Registered Massage Therapist in B.C. She has been studying and practicing Craniosacral Therapy since 1990 and teaching Craniosacral Therapy since 2001. She first started studying the Biodynamic approach in 2005 with Howard Jones in Vancouver, B.C. and took further training with Michael Shea also in Vancouver. She did her Foundation training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with John Chitty through the Colorado School of Energy Studies, in Austin, TX, graduating in 2010. An ardent student of anatomy and the mysteries of the natural world, Sarah finds herself endlessly fascinated by how the whole person is expressed through their body. The incredibly complex interweaving of physical structure, life experiences from conception to the present moment and our responses to those experiences, form the tapestry of this engaging work. She is delighted to be a part of the Body Intelligence Tutor Team, guiding students through the exploration of this healing art.
Richard Ferguson

Richard is a Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapist and a Natural Therapeutic Specialist. He completed Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy training with Body Intelligence teachers: Ged Sumner, Steve Haines, and Sheila Kean. Richard attended and graduated from the wholistic-oriented program at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. This foundation education included studies in polarity therapy, cranial sacral therapy, core synchronism, shiatsu (acupressure), reflexology, herbology, relaxation and therapeutic massage, as well as body-mind counseling techniques. Richard holds advanced certification for Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy, and applied kinesiology. Richard practiced as a registered massage therapist for a number of years before specializing in Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy. Richard’s clinical focus and ongoing study is the impact and treatment of trauma. He is especially interested in the trauma treatment models developed Peter Levine and Eugene Gendlin. He applies these models to his integrated body therapy practice called the Missing Piece Body Therapies in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.
Standards
Accreditation
Upon successful completion of the training you will be certified as a biodynamic craniosacral therapy practitioner.
The training is recognized by the Association of National Health Practitioner of Canada (NHCP) which sets competency-based standards for natural health disciplines and modalities in Canada.
Approved training of the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America (BCTA/NA) which sets standards in practice and education.
The training is accredited by the Pacific Association of Craniosacral Therapists (PACT), a professional body which maintains standards and protects both craniosacral practitioners and their clients.
The training is provisionally accredited by the Craniosacral Therapy Association (CSTA), a professional body which maintains standards and represents therapists in the UK.
The training is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) representing complimentary therapists in the UK and Ireland.
Affiliation
The training is a member of the International Affiliation of Biodynamic Trainings (IABT) which is an affiliation of schools who operate to a commonly agreed set of standards in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy courses. Member schools offer the designation BCST (Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist) to graduates of its foundation training and also a post-graduate designation ABD (Advanced Biodynamic Diploma) indicating an additional 300 hours of training.
